Thanks for the feedback here. Our thoughts were that entering members into one place would save time. In other words entering members into a spreadsheet will take just as long as entering into MemberHub. Should be a wash in the end.

We have been working on adding students for the directory from a master excel file, those files include parents names and emails, can we at least select those names from somewhere when entering the members for this year to avoid typing them again?

I have several people that want to join the PTSA, but they don't want to give their email or phone number information.  It doesn't appear that we can add anyone with just a name.

We also have an issue of adding PTSA membership to people that have already joined member hub.  If the email and phone number have already been entered we can add them through the PTSA membership tab.  How do we flag these people as PTSA members?

Hi Janis. For your first question about entering members without a phone number or email address, this is a NCPTA requirement so we are unable to deactivate this requirement. You can contact NCPTA for their advice on what to do with these.

For your second question, you can go to the PTA tab - Add Members and enter the name and email or phone of the person. If they already have a profile in MemberHub the system will match the membership to that existing profile. If you get an error that email address is already in use it's possible the person is already a member. In that case, you can search for them on the People tab and see if they are already a member.

For questions like these, please submit them to support@memberhub.zendesk.com or through the Help button in the lower right of the support center or your site. We prioritize support tickets over article comments so you will get a quick reply. Thank you!
