Hi Rhonda and Becky. Thank you for the feedback.

MemberHub maps membership types to the state level requirements. We are restricted by the state PTAS as to to what member types they will accept. This fall our development team will be working on allowing users to create custom membership types.

If you need to setup family or other types of memberships you can do this in a Payment Request.  Here is an example: https://lacy.memberhub.com/payment_requests/17

Here are instructions for creating these types of Payment Requests: https://support.memberhub.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000966734-Handling-Bundled-or-Package-Membership

We are working on adding multiple people to the same dues payment. We are also encouraging families to use the donation field in the dues payment page.

    Hey Sherry

Because MemberHub maps membership types to the state level requirements, we currently don't have a way to do this today. We are working on this feature in the fall where we can have people create more custom memberships and then have it map to the correct member type for the state and national PTA. A work around for this would be to create a payment request for membership and you can have it be inclusive of items and spirit wear. Anyone joining through a payment request would need to be manually entered back into the Add Member section to account for the transaction. It is one more step but should be a similar process to what you have done in years prior. Hope that helps. Thanks!

We were told this would be a feature as well, but it's not, and it's very disappointing.

We have 6 level "types" of Membership, not just the 5 that are the options within MH currently.

Under "dues amounts", we need the ability to not only rename/ have our customer Member Types, but also be able to add 1 more, and then be able to set those amounts (as is already available.)

Until we can make this page customizable suit our needs, we will NOT be using MH to intake Membership dues - if I already have to do an extra step to manage it, I may as well stick with all the paper forms that I'll already still be receiving anyway.

Just to add onto this discussion, we would like to be able to add a family/couple rather than just 1 individual at a time.  The current set up makes is necessary to enter each individual separately.  We find that we have better luck getting both parents to sign up if we can just allow one person to enter both people's information at once.  Can you add this ability?

We will just have to wait until you have Membership Types as editable fields, and until we can add in what we need. I'm curious as to why State level PTAs would restrict what Membership level types they would accept, since when we send in our Membership dues and info on paper, that is barely a concern. They just want to know First and Last Name, Email, and if it's a Faculty or Parent, then they take their $4 cut regardless of type.

Seems like it would be a fairly easy fix to apply the determination for F- Faculty or P-Parent as an option beside any number of differing Membership Types.

Would love to get rid of more paper, and intake more monies online, but this is on hold for us indefinitely until you give us the ability for customized membership types (along with already being able to customize the amounts.)

It's very frustrating that people haven't been pay for more than 1 membership at a time.  We lost a lot of memberships because people are refusing to go through the process twice.  When will this be fixed?

Hi Ricki. This is in testing now and we hope to have it pushed to production soon. Thank you for your patience!

You can also use Payment Requests to have people pay for multiple members in one transaction, then you can enter them manually in the PTA tab - Add Members. Here are instructions: https://support.memberhub.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001232054-Handling-Bundled-or-Packaged-Membership
