Adding videos to your experience is an excellent way to communicate the story behind your cause and make an impact on people who visit your page. Videos bring your cause to life, evoking emotion, and providing descriptions that images alone can’t capture. Having a video on your page can also give your experience a more professional feel while adding a personal element – they’re especially well-suited for showing how donations to the organization will directly impact a personal life. Together, these qualities could increase the likelihood that visitors will donate to your experience.

MemberHub Fundraisers provides three key places to add videos:

• In the main image at the top of the fundraising page
• In the experience description
• In the organization description

Main Image

1. Click on My experiences.
2. If you have chosen list view, click on the title of the experience. If you have chosen grid view, click on the experience image.
3. Click Edit experience*.
4. Click on Page Design in the timeline at the top.
5. Find the box entitled Choose your experience page design.
6. Select the option on the left, Easy to set up, and best for most uses.
7. Click on ADD VIDEO from the box below.
8. Enter a YouTube or Vimeo link and click SAVE.
9. Click on SAVE at the bottom of your page to make sure your changes are saved.

Please note that videos cannot be added to the main experience image when the custom look option is chosen for the experience page design.

Experience Description

1. Click on My experiences.
2. If you have chosen list view, click on the title of the experience. If you have chosen grid view, click on the experience image.
3. Click Edit experience*.
4. Click on Page Design in the timeline at the top.
5. Find the box entitled Share a compelling experience description.
6. Click on the video icon in the toolbar of this box.

 7. Enter a YouTube or Vimeo link and click INSERT.

8. If you have the embedded code for your video, you can also click on the embedded code option and insert your code snippet.

Organization Description

If you have registered your organization, you can add a general video about its mission, goals, and other basic information, which will appear under the meet the organization section at the right of your page. Please note that it will show on all experiences run by your organization when you add a video here. Therefore, it’s important to select a video that truly reflects your organization’s messaging and values and will fit well with any current or future fundraising experiences. (If you plan to include other videos on your fundraising pages, you may want to leave this video out to prevent the page from becoming too busy.)

1. Click on Organization in the left side menu.
2. Under add a description of your organization, click on the video icon in this box’s toolbar.
3. Enter a YouTube or Vimeo link and click INSERT.
4. If you have the embedded code for your video, you can also click on the embedded code option and insert your code snippet.
