Please Note!!
-
If the Owner Administrator account is not accessible, and the Company Representative wants to transfer ownership to another user: We’ll need to call the Company Representative to verify their personally identifiable information (PII) and get their authorization to transfer ownership.
-
If the Owner Administrator account is not accessible and the Company Representative is not available: We will need a letter from the company's CEO or Board, which confirms and details the change of Company Representative and the transfer of ownership of the Stripe account. Once the letter is received and meets our requirements listed below, we will call the newly appointed Company Representative to verify their PII.
-
The letter should be on your company's letterhead and authorize the appointment of the new Company Representative, as well as the transfer of ownership to a specified user. Please include the following information:
-
Business name
-
EIN
-
Business address
-
Previous Company Representative’s name and date of birth
-
New Company Representative’s name and date of birth
-
New Owner Administrator’s email address (this should be the one they use to log into Stripe)
-
-
We also ask that the signatory on this letter is not the same person who is being appointed as the new Company Representative. For example, if the CEO is being appointed as Company Representative, please have a board member or other member of the C-suite sign and authorize the letter.
-
We strongly recommend that the person who holds the title of Company Representative is also the person who controls the Owner Administrator login for the Stripe account.
-
-
If you only want to change the email address on your Stripe account, see Change the Email Address Associated With Your Account.
There are a number of ways that the current owner of a Stripe account can transfer ownership to someone else:
General Account Transfer Instructions:
1. Login in to your MemberHub Account and click on the Store Management > Edit Store Settings.
2. Click View express dashboard.
3. You may be prompted to enter a security code that was sent to your phone number on the account.
4. From here click the profile icon at the top right and Professional details. If you do not have an Information needed, in red - that is ok. Click Professional Details anyway.
5. Choose the Add option if it is present to add a new officer. Or click the pencil icon next to the person that is present to click remove. And re-add a new person.
6. Fill in the form for the new account representative to add them.
Note: If this process is complete, you will no longer see an action required notices on the Stripe express dashboard or on MemberHub. If you would like us to check and make sure your Stripe account is in good standing, please contact MemberHub Support at this link, and we would be happy to assist.
