Once you create a new Stripe account or link an existing one, you may see that your Stripe account is in "Pending" status. Unfortunately, you won't be able to open your store and start accepting payments until your Stripe account is in "Live" status.
Here are a few reasons why your Stripe account is "Pending", and how you can fix it:
Reason # 1: Your Stripe account is not fully set up
You'll need to complete the Stripe account setup before it can process transactions. If your Stripe account is only partially set up or there is something wrong with the information you automatically entered follow these steps to get this resolved:
- Visit your Store Admin by clicking the Orange button in MemberHub or by clicking View Site Admin from the Drop-Down menu on the upper right of your store.
- Click Settings on the Left > Stripe Connection > View Express Dashboard
- Once on stripe, you will see a banner on the top of the screen, click update
Reason #2: Further Verification Is Needed
If for some reason, further verification is needed to complete your stripe setup you will receive an email from Stripe. Keep an eye out for this, and follow the directions in the email to provide any necessary updates to get your account back on track.
