Finalizing your a-thon fundraiser is a key step to accomplishing your fundraiser's goals. This step allows us to calculate the final amount to charge your donors for their pledges based on the activity that was completed in the fundraiser.
We'll show you how to finalize your fundraiser in the steps below.
Before you finalize
Before finalizing your a-thon campaign, take a few moments to go through the following steps.
- First, check that all write-in donations have been edited to credit the desired participant(s). You may need to edit some donations to ensure the appropriate individuals get credited. Click here to learn how to credit write-in donations.
- Second, if check donations were accepted on the campaign, they will need to be marked as received in order to be included in the final total raised. Click here to learn how to mark checks as received.
- Finally, you’ll need to enter all activity results. Click here to learn how to enter activity results.
How to finalize
Once the end date for your a-thon fundraiser is reached, a new FINALIZE button will appear on the enter activity results page. You won't be able to finalize your fundraiser until your end date is reached.
Once you've completed the steps above and your campaign has ended, you’re ready to finalize your campaign. Simply go to the enter activity results page and click the finalize results button.
Please note that once you finalize results, no additional activity results can be entered into your campaign. Donors’ credit cards will be charged when you finalize results and the total amount raised will be updated as well. Your a-thon fundraiser will be completed once you finalize.
