According to an announcement on March 26, 2021, the Board of Directors of National PTA has voted to revoke the charter of the Maryland PTA and the entity formerly known as the Maryland PTA no longer exists.
The relationship between MemberHub and the former Maryland PTA is a simple contractual agreement allowing MemberHub to be the sole membership management platform for 5 years. MemberHub is not affiliated with the Maryland PTA in any other way. MemberHub is a private for-profit organization that works with 40 other state PTAs to provide membership management and fundraising tools to all of our partner organizations.
We recognize this is a very confusing time and MemberHub is here to answer any questions you may have about your access to use MemberHub and how it may be affected.
Will MemberHub Remain Free for Local PTA Units in Maryland?
We will still provide the MemberHub software free to all existing PTA units in Maryland. This means that your local PTA will still get all the benefits of MemberHub without paying the regular subscription pricing that other organizations typically pay.
Can I still sell PTA memberships through my MemberHub store?
Absolutely. You can still sell your memberships in your online store as well as any other items you sell as a PTA. If you have never done this before but want to start, click here.
Should I still pay my state dues in MemberHub?
It is our understanding that all local units have been directed to not pay their state dues to Maryland PTA through MemberHub but to pay their dues directly to National PTA manually. If you are using MemberHub to sell your memberships online, you may be concerned about how this manual payment will affect your dues balance within your MemberHub site. We've got you covered! We have set up your site so that now you can now record a manual check payment each time you submit a dues payment to National PTA and keep your dues balance accurate and up-to-date.
Can I still email my parents and members through MemberHub?
Of course. You can and should maintain communications with all your parents and members in your site through MemberHub. If you need assistance with this, please click here.
Can my PTA still use MemberHub for our next Fundraiser?
Please do! This feature is included with your MemberHub account and will not be changed at all.
