There are two keys to maximizing the potential that your people will embrace MemberHub:
- Communicate to everyone about MemberHub prior to actually adding them.
- Use MemberHub for all communications and logistics.
It's important that the first time people hear about MemberHub isn't an email in their inbox that they've been added to a "hub". Take as many opportunities as possible to tell everyone about MemberHub, how your organization is going to use it and how it will benefit them. If it's possible, hold an information session for people to ask questions. If at all possible show them around the application and exactly how you're planning on using it.
Included in our Onboarding process are several informational emails about MemberHub along with guides and documents for all users. They detail how to get started and how to get the best use out of MemberHub.
Keep in mind that your organization will have people and leaders that will easily adopt and make great use out of MemberHub. These folks will help save your staff time and money, because you'll be empowering them to help you with the organization's mission. Let them be MemberHub champions and ask them to help others with MemberHub.
You may also have people that signup, update their profile and possibly not login for long period of time. Don't worry about this. Keep in mind that these people can still participate in hub discussions through their email and they will still receive announcements and event reminders via email and text messaging.
