Welcome to MemberHub! Are you here because your organization signed up for this service then you’re in the right place.
As a member of a hub you will benefit from having a single place where you can connect with other members of your groups in a private and secure online environment. If you are connected to multiple groups and organizations on MemberHub.com you will find MemberHub especially useful. This is because MemberHub can combine the information from multiple sources in useful ways. For example, each group that you are associated with on MemberHub.com has a hub calendar. You can see all of the events from groups that you are associated with on your shared calendar.
Filling Out Your Profile
One of the first things you should do when you start using MemberHub is fill out the information on your profile. You will have a profile for each organization that you are affiliated with. The information listed on your profile is available to each of the organizations and groups that you are involved with. This makes it easy for them to maintain accurate membership records and it will allow you to update your information like your address and phone numbers in a single place, without having to notify the organization of the change. Imagine never having to fill out a “Change of Address” form again!
Receive Text Messages
Administrators in MemberHub have the ability to push out announcements to their members via text message. This is a great way for organizations to notify you of last minute event cancellations or other urgent announcements. You have the ability to customize which groups can send you text messages (see Hub Settings), but you won’t receive any text messages if you don’t have your mobile number entered and the “Allow Text Messages” checkbox checked.
Organizations & Hubs
Every group on MemberHub has an associated hub which is the primary point of communication with that group. Each hub has the same features. However, available features depend on what the hub administrator has enabled or disabled for a given hub.
Hubs are either owned by a MemberHub Organization, like a church or association, or they are stand-alone hubs. Hubs that are “owned” by an Organization are created by an organization administrator and they will be listed underneath that organization on Your Dashboard.
To learn more about hubs, read the Hub Overview.
The dashboard for your organization is an excellent place for you to get an idea of what is going on with your groups in MemberHub. It contains a list of the hubs that you are involved with, a five-day calendar so that you can see what is coming up on your schedule, and a list of recent activity across your hubs. You can also create your own hub or join a hub if you have a hub join key.
The Calendar provides a single view of all events across all of your hubs in one convenient location. Events are also color-coded for each hub for easy viewing. (You can modify your color settings in the Calendar Preferences popup.)
If you use a desktop calendar application like Apple’s iCal or Microsoft Outlook you can subscribe to the iCalendar feed of a your calendar and it will automatically import events into that local calendar application. You can view a list of applications that have support for the iCalendar protocol on Wikipedia here.
