How does PTA Dues Money Flow?

One of the nicest benefits that MemberHub offers PTAs is the ability to route money to the local unit's bank account and the state-level PTA bank account automatically. Our partnership with Heartland School Solutions makes this possible and we work directly with them to continually improve the funding process.

Let's start with an example:

  • Dues Payment of $10.00
  • Convenience Fee is 59¢ to be paid by the buyer
  • Total Charge amount is $10.59

$4.50 should flow directly to the local PTA unit and $5.50 will route to the state-level PTA.

As of May 23, 2017 here is how the money will flow:

  • $4.47 to local PTA - The 3¢ shortfall will be made whole monthly with automatic credit just after the first of the following month
  • $5.50 to the state will be funded weekly

Automatic flow of funds to PTA daily on batch close

Hey Tanya, thanks for the comment. Yes, the 3¢ shortfall is currently a rounding challenge issue that Heartland is working through right now. It's not an ideal scenario and together working to resolve this. In the meantime please be assured that your PTA will be made whole every month. Thanks.
